Intel has launched its new Core Ultra 200S processors to improve AI capabilities in desktop computers.

These processors feature up to 8 performance cores and 16 efficient cores, offering up to 14% better performance in multi-threaded tasks compared to older models.

This makes them a great option for users looking to get more power out of their desktops, especially for AI-related tasks.

Intel says these upgrades make everything run smoother and more efficiently for activities like gaming, content creation, and other demanding tasks.

A key feature of the Core Ultra 200S series is the Neural Processing Units (NPUs), which greatly boost AI performance.

Each processor also has a built-in Xe GPU, making it great for media tasks. Intel VP Robert Hallock noted that these processors use less power while still providing excellent gaming performance, resulting in a quieter and cooler experience.

These processors are very efficient, using up to 58% less power for everyday tasks and saving 165W while gaming.

Users can expect a 6% increase in single-threaded performance and a 14% boost in multi-threaded performance compared to older models, making them great for gamers and content creators..

When it comes to AI tasks, these processors offer up to 50% faster performance than top competitors, thanks to their integrated NPUs.

This not only enhances gaming frame rates but also reduces power consumption during heavy workloads.

The new Intel 800 Series Chipset improves connectivity. It supports up to 24 PCIe 4.0 lanes, 8 SATA 3.0 ports, and 10 USB 3.2 ports.

Intel has also refined overclocking features, letting users adjust turbo frequencies in 16.6 MHz steps. Additionally, these processors support the latest DDR5 memory, which enhances performance.

With 20 CPU PCIe 5.0 lanes, 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3, the Core Ultra 200S series is equipped to handle modern applications.

These new processors will be available for purchase starting October 24, 2024, both online and in stores.
